Governance Administrator - Part Time

About the role  
The Council Governance Administrator is a pivotal role within the collaborative team at the Nursing Council of New Zealand (The Council). This role will be providing highly effective administration support to the Board and Committees, as well as supporting the CE / Registrar and the EA to the CE with additional administration, coordination, and scheduling. 
   
In this role, you will:  
  • Organise and schedule Board and Committee meetings 
  • Prepare meeting agendas and board packs, loading information into Diligent, and following up with contributors to meet deadlines 
  • Coordinate with Board Members around travel and logistics 
  • Draft correspondence and reporting, maintain the actions record 
  • Accurate minute taking for the Finance and Audit Committee 
  • Coordinate with Board members and stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration 
  • Provide cover to the EA to the CE when needed 
This is a part time role, 24hrs a week. Ideally, we’d love if you were able to spread this across four days, with some flexibility around Board meeting and committee days. 
  
About you  
You’ll bring demonstrated experience in all aspects of Board administration, as well as having a background in executive support. Your professional and organised approach will set you up well for success in this role, and you’ll be well-known as a collaborative team player. 
   
You will also bring:
  • Excellent organisational, planning and time management skills 
  • Impeccable communication skills with an ability to interact with a wide range of stakeholders 
  • Exceptional writing and spelling skills 
  • Experience in collating Board and Committee packs using Diligent software 
  • A high level of attention to detail 
  • Comfortable with technology, specifically MS Office 
  • An awareness or developing knowledge of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and the use of basic Te Reo Māori
