Organisation Description
The Hāpai Foundation was formed in 2019 with a mission to raise and invest funds for the benefit of individuals living with a disability.  The Foundation’s most successful project, the Hāpai Access Card helps reduce the impact of barriers for the disabled and empowers businesses to make reasonable accommodations to allow appropriate access.

Hāpai Access Card is currently embraced by over 150 cafes and restaurants, recreation and sports centres, arts, and attractions and 3500 card holders across Aotearoa. We’ve achieved a lot, but we have more to do.

The Foundation is seeking applications from candidates with a passion for positively impacting the lives of people living with disabilities. Our Board meets the second Tuesday of every month at 4:30pm for approximately 90 minutes.
